Hi ya'll. I'm in Nashville!!! I should be napping but when I got off of work early today, I miraculously wasn't sleepy/tired anymore. Anyway, I was supposed to fly out yet again to Jersey next M-F but wtf, I'm already flying there on Christmas so I asked my boss if I could just fly out 3 days b4 my trip. That way I don't have to go back and forth and exhaust myself. He said yes, WOO HOO!!! So that means I get an extra day in NJ. I think I'm going to have my old high school buddy who lives in central jersey come hangout w/ me while I'm in Edison. I refuse to get a rental car. I'm just going to cab it cuz it might snow. Plus I don't get these Jersey streets... freaking NO Uturns, What the hell! The sucky part is if I want to get grab a bite to eat, I have to call a cab ahead of time... Then what do I do when I'm done eating? Tell the cab to wait. haha or have him join me. JK. Anyway, I'm gonna go back to the room and try to nap. The freaking Acqua Panna water is $5.40 at the Starbucks in the hotel. Isn't that nuts. Thank Buddha for expensed business trips. They don't have bottled water in the rooms. I fly back tomorrow. YIPPEE!!! And my flight is "LATE" as in 8am... as in 6am CA time. I've taken like 5 flights in the past 4 days and I've had to get up from 130am PST - 430am PST. ZOMBIE! |
Last night my ex-coworker from Shit-os (Scios/JnJ) was in New Brunswick for a tax manager meeting. Jorge, May, and I went to go pick her up and went to eat at Acqua, an Italian restaurant in Somerville (I think). It was good. I liked the appetizers the best. We had tuna tartare w/ this mango relish, raw oysters, and carpaccio. My boss has this tradition that he has passed down to us where we rate all the dishes we eat. Then we keep the itemized receipt + business card w/ the ratings which are all on my wall at work. I was telling him we should make a food critic website. lol. That'd be my DREAM job. I wonder how you become a food critic anyway? Sigh, all I think about is food! Oh yah, he also took us to this Korean/Japanese place that was REALLY F'IN GOOD. Who woulda thought? The sushi was SO FRESH, and the Korean food was GREAT. SErvice was good too. Also, it is really cheap for the quality of food. Like $90 for 3 ppl, practically all you can order FRESH sushi + appetizers + bibimbap. =)
Ooo and for lunchee today, we went to CRACKER BARRELL! HAHAHA, I bought a few knick knack ornaments for my "American" Grandma + Grandpa, and an Elvis CD for my mom. Also got some Cracker Jacks + Pecan roles for PB + pops. I also got this Cracker Barrell ornament. hahaha. I should post a pic of it. Gotta love southern food. Ok bye!
